It’s all happening down on The Embankment this glorious Saturday as Key Feste 2017 opens. They’ve got a whole lot of shows, acts, games and activities for everyone to do especially the kids. There’s the Wacky Races area with space hopper racing, the Elf Hoopla. Learn how to build the biggest sand castle in the sandpit or play snakes and ladders. You can learn about painting in the Graffiti tent as you spray your own wall (board) in any amazing design that you like. You can learn to stencil in the stenciling workshop or create an #UrbanAstronaut helmet (see the show later too).

There’s a wonderfully rosy looking campervan, in fact it’s the #CampervanOfLove by New Art Club – you’ll see cupid helping the world to fall in love with the help of the magical campervan and some interesting characters… not to be missed.

And watch one of the fabulous shows on offers like what we’ve captures here (the Project Vee Circus Geeks juggling act) both skillful and dangerous which is made to look easy-peasy. There’s a couple of chefs you’ll be glad to have met as they take you through a Culinary Duel where they’ll be stirring and sprinkling a lot of ingredients – watch out! If you fancy showing off some of your own skills you could always chill out at the mini-skatepark area supported by #CastilloSkateboards. For the adults there’s Reiki, Yoga, meditation and massage tasters from #SoulHappy. And finally if you feel hungry simply bob in to the Key Theatre where there’s some descent grub to be eaten.

So, enjoy today and tomorrow’s festival and if you fancy a free swim the Lido – it’s open with free entry too.
