Today I joined artist Sunaina Bhalla for a traditional Indian block printing session as part of Future Network with Metal Peterborough. As part of a 3-hour session, I sat down next to Jo, also on her own, and learned how to block print using the stamping process from India. I purchased tickets for Midsummer Magic at the Lido as soon as they came out. The year Covid hit, their previous event had to be cancelled, so it's lovely to see this going ahead in 2022. I came across their February workshops as they posted them out to me to add as events and decided to have a little nosey at what there were doing in the way of helping the community in Peterborough.    This particular project is aimed at engaging participants, upskilling and supporting them towards employment and is delivered throughout Peterborough, Fenland and West Norfolk. The events are provided by means of funding by the European Social Fund and Community Fund of the National Lottery.

What a treat today as Nene Valley Spirits opened its doors as Peterborough’s first micro-distillery in the Nene Valley region, offering handcrafted, premium gin in small batches. Jo, Leigh, Abi and Shelley are located in the newly renovated Artisan Courtyard area at Sacrewell Farm and Country Park. A place where more small businesses will be located - a great idea.
